March TACNY Junior Cafe Scientifique

March TACNY Junior Café Scientifique, 9:30 to 11 a.m. March 18 at the MOST, 500 S. Franklin St., Syracuse. TACNY Junior Café Scientifique features an informal discussion with a scientist, engineer or technologist every month during the school year. Charles A. Mayaka, MS, a design engineer with Pratt & Whitney, will lead a discussion explain the scientific principles that make thrust possible and introduce one of the latest advancements in gas turbine engine technology that is making flights quieter, greener and more efficient. Students must be accompanied by a parent or adult. After the event, students and their parents are invited to tour the MOST’s exhibits for free. The event is hosted by the Technology Alliance of Central New York. A light breakfast is served before the event. The event is free, but RSVP to [email protected] with number of people attending.
